About Us

Evy Jane Ougendal is the President of the Portuguese-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce.

Born and raised in Norway, Ms Ougendal has been based in Portugal for the past 15 years, where she has been passionately involved with property development; most notably as director of the well-known resort development Dunas Douradas and later co-founder, CEO and a board member of award winning holiday resort Dunas Douradas Beach Club. Her broad international experience and network will benefit the members of the Chamber and open doors to more collaboration between the two countries.

Ms Ougendal started her career as a real estate agent with the largest Norwegian Financial Group DNB in the eighties and returned 10 years later as Senior Broker for the Commercial Property Division. She was also a board member of DNB Eiendom.

In the meantime, she was one of the founders and Managing Director / Board Member of a Real Estate Agency in Oslo and later moved on to become Sales- and Marketing Manager of Linstow, at the time one of Norway most significant property developers. This eventually lead her to move to Portugal.

She was also heavily involved with the development of Aker Brygge in Oslo, transforming the former docks into a shopping centre/office- and Residencial area.

Elsewhere, Miss Ougendal is currently undertaking an Executive MBA at Heriot Watt University in Scotland which adds to her degrees in economics, real estate and journalism.
